BUYISA-e BAG MEDIA BRIEFING INVITATION
BACKGROUND:
Subsequent to current negative reports on alleged fraudulent activities at Buyisa e-Bag and non-compliance to regulation and governance in relation to structures of the country’s Public Finance Management Act, Buyisa-e-Bag’s CEO Mr. Shirleigh Strydom, would like to share the organisation’s turnaround strategy and implementation plan that addresses Buyisa-e-Bag’s role in line with its mandate. Buyisa-e-Bag’s strategy includes plans to continue with creating more sustainable jobs in the rural and peri-urban areas whilst ensuring good corporate citizenship and assisting government in its plight to alleviate poverty; particularly amongst South Africa’s disadvantaged communities.
It is against this backdrop that you are invited to tomorrow’s (Tuesday 29 March) media conference, in which the CEO will share a detailed outline of his plans.

Buyisa-e-Bag, is a section 21 company that was established by the Government of South Africa in 2006, with the aim of reducing the disposal and littering of plastic carrier bags across the country and improving recycling of plastic bags and the use of recycled bags made from recovered plastic.
